Screen Printing

Screen Printing

Screen printing is the classic, time-tested method for creating bold, durable prints that stand out. It’s ideal for larger print runs with fewer colors, producing vibrant results that hold up beautifully over time.

When Screen Printing Makes Sense

If you’re ordering 24 or more shirts, screen printing is usually the most cost-effective option. The setup process involves creating custom screens for each color, which means once those are ready, we can print high volumes quickly and consistently.

Because of that setup time, we have a minimum order quantity of 24 pieces for screen printing. It helps keep costs fair while ensuring top-quality prints.

How Pricing Works

Screen printing prices vary depending on:

  • Number of colors in your design (each color requires its own screen)
  • Number of print locations (front, back, sleeves, etc.)
  • Quantity of shirts being printed
  • Type of shirt blank you choose

Our professional screen printers will determine the actual number of colors required for your design. Some colors need an underbase layer to look their best — for example, printing orange ink on a black shirt typically requires a white base underneath. In that case, what looks like a one-color design would actually be considered a two-color print.

We offer a range of quality blanks to fit any look or budget — from soft everyday tees to premium heavyweight options.

Smaller Orders and Alternatives

If you’re looking to print fewer than 24 pieces, we can absolutely do that — but pricing will scale up to cover setup time and materials, possibly making it unreasonably expensive.

For smaller runs or designs with lots of colors or gradients, it’s often more affordable to use a digital print method like direct-to-garment (DTG) or direct-to-film (DTF). We’ll help you decide which option makes the most sense for your design, quantity, and budget.
